  Welcome to this parish-basilica of our ANDRA MARI OF BEGOŅA, in Bilbao, Pattern of the Historical Territory of Biscay. Begoņa sounds much and sounds well not only in our ears, but also in our hearts. Begoņa is something emblematic for all the basques. El 15 of August, popular celebration, and the 11 of October, liturgical celebration of the Mother of God de Begoņa, the town of Bizkaia meets in mass to the feet of its Amatxo. But, which it more calls the attention is the one that all the days and to all hours is people in this basilica saying, meditating, thinking. The church of Begoņa is cosy: believers and agnostics, devotee tourists and, all, find ambient here of oration, serenity and peace. Our Amatxo always speaks us of peace and, sweetly, shows to us, seated on its knees, to its Son Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Welcome
